Leading Through Presence: An Immersion with Horses

Discover how horses reveal the way we lead, communicate, and build trust.

The Experience

Join Level 7 High Terrain on October 15-18, 2026 for an immersive leadership experience centered on the wisdom of horses. Set against the backdrop of the Montana landscape, participants will engage in guided coaching experiences designed to deepen self-awareness, strengthen communication, and cultivate the kind of leadership that begins with presence.

This is not horsemanship training or a traditional retreat. Through experiential coaching alongside horses, participants will explore trust, relationship, emotional awareness, and the patterns that shape how they lead themselves and others. Supported by the High Terrain Methodology, each experience is designed to create lasting transformation that extends far beyond the arena. Registration is intentionally limited to preserve the depth of the experience and allow for meaningful individual engagement.

[ the setting ]

A four day + three night working ranch experience designed for leaders seeking exposure, not escape. For those willing to step into responsibility, engage physically and mentally, and reflect on the lessons of real work. Participants will arrive Thursday evening and depart Sunday afternoon. Expect rustic but adequate lodging in wall tents or dry cabins. Meals will be provided.

[ the expectations ]

Two pre-experience coaching calls and one post experience integration call with Level 7 High Terrain Lead Coach/Guide Darin Hardy.

Each day begins with a concept for meditation or mindfulness. We move through the day with abundant time for informative observance and embodied experience with the land, our human group and our horses.

Evenings are spent in reflection and integration of what arose throughout the day. This experience will include outdoor ranch exposure and the opportunity to participate in the energetic exchange and feedback of four species (human, equine, bovine, and canine) while we ride through the land.

[ the objective ]

To develop practical leadership through experiential immersion. Every segment is structured around leadership development - confidence under pressure, role clarity, communication, teamwork, and professional execution,
